About

Sarah Liberatore is a ceramic and mixed media artist based in the Finger Lakes region of New York.

Using stoneware clay as her medium she draws inspiration from the forests, gorges, mountains and sky around her. Found objects like driftwood, stones and leaves lend texture and patterns to her hand built and wheel thrown pieces.

She is a third generation craftsperson and although she has not followed in the woodworking footsteps of her father and grandfather, the importance of creating finely crafted, functional pieces for everyday life has been passed down and taken to heart.
